10K Challenge

A multi-terrain off-road 10K (6 mile approx.) route using public footpaths and quiet village lanes. The terrain is mostly flat with some gentle inclines.

Starting at Cheltenham Racecourse, the route initially runs alongside the GWR steam railway before entering the large field just to the north of the racecourse. After a loop around the field, it follows public footpaths north towards Southam and the Ellenborough Park Hotel, before heading south again towards and through Prestbury village. Back into  fields again for a short stretch before joining the public footpath around the outside of the racecourse and returning to the finish at the event village.

An easy and enjoyable route for walkers and for runners with some experience of completing a 10k course. For Adult (age 16+) registrations, this event will be run under TRA/UKA rules (Permit No. 143).

For Junior and Child categories, this event will be classed as a Fun Run.

Please note that parts of this route are shared with other Challenge events and members of the public.
